Kids and Chiropractic

Most people assume that bad backs are a sign of an aging body’s inability to cope with the day to day stresses and traumas. One of the things I hear most in my practice when my patients begin to feel the lasting effects of chiropractic care is “I wish I had discovered chiropractic care sooner.” Yet they are surprised to see young patients in my waiting room. The notion that chiropractic care is for adults has been widely accepted, but what about chiropractic care for kids? You may work at a desk all day and feel the strain it puts on your body, but what about the daily stresses our children face? Heavy backpacks, school desks, a fall on the playground or off a bike many things our children face can have an adverse affect on their spine and their nervous system.
